We had a great first day together this week! This month's theme is "God's Game Plan" and we talked about how we are each an important part of the body--that's God's game plan!
We had 18 children present on our first day. Children had a great time singing praise songs, playing "hot hand," being actively involved in the Bible lesson about the body, and participating in small group activities.
Small groups are Preschool (3-5 years old), Lower Elementary (K-2nd grade) and Upper Elementary (3rd-5th grade). Groups are designed to have no more than 5 students in a group.
Julia Hannah and Angie Conley are leading the preschool group; Susie Greer and Beth Shortridge are each leading a lower elementary group; and Trudy Wilkins is leading the upper elementary group.
Four of our youth are leading the praise and worship and are also assisting small group leaders. Tim Miller is our information technology manager and Pam Sammons is helping with registration and drama.
Much appreciation goes to all who worked so hard to help get our room ready! Thanks to Alan Sublett for making our stage, Terri Brown for her great work on the scenery, and Morgan Colvin for her role as decorations manager creating our creek scene and our monthly themes.
We look forward to many great Sundays together!!
